Katie Buenneke is a freelance arts & culture and entertainment writer. Her work regularly appears in Stage Raw and her newsletter, Theater Digest, and has also been published in the Atlantic, LA Weekly, Paste Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, the Village Voice, TV Insider, CurtainUp, A Younger Theatre, xoJane, Bitter Lemons, and LA Currents. She was also the Theater Editor of USC's digital publication, Neon Tommy, for three years.

She is a graduate from the University of Southern California, where she majored in theater in the School of Dramatic Arts, with a minor in musical theater from the Thornton School of Music. She earned her MFA in producing for film, TV, and new media from the Peter Stark Producing Program at USC's School of Cinematic Arts.
